Welcome to the website of Cabot District Scouts.  Cabot District is part of the UK Scout Association, and covers Scouting in the north west of Bristol.  The main purpose of this website is to provide news and information for our members, but it is also a great way to find out more about us if you're not in Scouting at the moment.  If you like what you see, and would like to join us please use the "Want to Join" link on the menu at the top of the page.

There will be two first aid courses run in the district in 2010, which are suitable for all adults who require a first aid qualification.  They will take place on the 6th March and the 18th September.

Please bear in mind that when your appointment is reviewed, it will only be renewed for as long as your first aid certificate is valid, so if yours is up for review in 2010, please think about booking yourself onto one of these courses.

On the 28th August, Cabot teamed up with Brunel district (our neighbours on the the other side of the Gloucester Road) to host a recruitment day at Blaise Castle Park.  We brought the association's mobile display unit to Bristol for the day, and talked to hundreds of people, generating dome fantastic positive images of Scouting, and certainly picking up a few new members along the way.  Many thanks to everyone who came along and helped to make the day a success.  You can see some photos of the day courtesy of Brunel district here (external site).
