The Beaver Magic Fun day held at the 26th (Northcote) Scout HQ on Saturday 20th March was a great success, and enjoyed by all who attended.  Over 100 keen Beavers from 11 different Beaver colonies from all around the Cabot Scout District took part in the event, and they were kept very busy doing a whole host of excitng activities.

2010 First Aid courses available PDF Print E-mail

There will be two first aid courses run in the district in 2010, which are suitable for all adults who require a first aid qualification.  They will take place on the 6th March and the 18th September. 

Please bear in mind that when your appointment is reviewed, it will only be renewed for as long as your first aid certificate is valid, so if yours is up for review in 2010, please think about booking yourself onto one of these courses.

Don't forget that the Adventure Fund is available to help you provide activities for your groups.  In 2010, each group can claim up to £500 towards the cost of adventurous activities, regardless of any claims you made last year.  For more information, click here.

Whilst taking part in Jamboree On The Air at the comunications shack at Woodhouse Park, Adam, a member of the 44th Bristol's Dragon Troop, was invested using morse code.

The new Troop has established a tradition of memorable investitures - so far on a climbing wall, a zip wire and now in Morse.  Long may it continue!
